Its that time of year again to choose your classes for next year. Below you will find course descriptions for classes offered at Bailey and important transition dates coming up soon. Please read the course descriptions and attend the Bailey Showcase on Feb. 12th to make sure you choose classes you really want to take. Your choices determine our staffing and class availability, so schedule change requests at the beginning of the new school year are often not possible. Jan 16th: Academy Presentations at Bailey for all 8th graders in Bailey Gym 1:15 – 2:00
Jan 30th: Akins Showcase: Incoming 9th grade students & parent night at Akins HS 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Feb 6th: Parent/Student course advising session at Bailey with Akins counselors 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Feb 13th: Akins counselors meet with students (only) scheduled to attend Akins at Bailey to enter course contracts (science classes)
Feb 26th: Akins counselors meet with students who were absent on the 13th in the library. Students projected to attend Akins can review course contracts through math classes
Feb 4th: Bowie Showcase: Incoming 9th grade students & parent night at Bowie HS 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Feb 13th: Bowie counselors meet with students (only) scheduled to attend Bowie at Bailey to explain choice sheet and advise students (science classes)
Feb 20th: Parent/Student course advising session at Bailey with Bowie counselors 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Feb 26th: Students projected to attend Bowie will enter course contracts through math classes
*The Bailey counselors are on summer break from June 8th through the beginning of August. We will return the week of August 6th.

Fall 2018 Important Dates:
- Bring proof of address, parent ID, student birth certificate, immunization records,
social security card, and if homeschooled bring proof of prior grade-level completion

- This is not for incoming 6th graders who attended an AISD elementary
school. Incoming 6th graders should attend the Summer Transistion Camp.
